Mark ‘ Mile High’ Hylton joins the professional ranks Mark who plays for the Castle A, Brereton, and who recently won the ‘Wilf Park Trophy’ at the White Eagle is the first Stafford Super League player to turn professional. He has played in the super league for over 20 years, winning many individual awards and league titles on 4 occasions. Mark who has taken redundancy from his job as an airline steward is indebted to his main sponsor, Callum Harris, owner of ‘Lets Play Darts’ and The Pint Pot, Mere Green, where he is the resident professional. Over the past few years Mark has won over 50 smaller competitions and now feels it is time to take on players such as Phil ‘ The Power’ Taylor Mark first professional competition is in Gibraltar on the 6/7 February. Letter from Overseas
Things in Oz are just fine n dandy!! I,m missing my Thursday nights like you would never believe The standard of the Super League is far superior to any of the darts i'm currently involved in thats for sure. Would just like to wish all the lads in the league a very happy, healthy & merry Christmas and a cracking 2010. Tell them i'm currently top of the averages here and i'm way out in front of the 180's league too. Played 5 matches and hit 6 maximums. (Every 180 hit wins a jug of ale too - 2 & 1/2 pints per jug ) Just like old times hey Ted Will forward you a team photo when we return on 12th Jan. Weather here is averaging around the 35 degree mark most days with Christmas & Boxing day to be 43-47 degrees!!!!! Not funny weather mate Nice to see T.C. has not forgot how to put the odd sentence together still Mind you, i do think his reports are getting shorter, the last only took me half an hour to read!!
