Danny Coyle beat Jack Senior 3-1 in the first game of the night, but it was Jack who won the 1st leg in 24 darts, which included 138 and several scores in the 70+ region. Danny hit 140 as he levelled the scores with a 25 darter, with Jack left waiting on 16, Danny then cracked in another 140 as he went ahead with a 22 dart leg, he completed the win by taking the 4th leg in 28 darts.

The second game was the closest of the night with Dougie Thompson getting the better of Ted Dodd over the distance. Ted hit 100 and 123 as he took the 1st leg in 30, with Doug on 25, the 2nd leg and both players smack in a couple of red scores apiece, but once again poor finishing by both saw Doug sneak it in 30 darts. The 3rd leg and both players hit 140 and 100 early on, Ted’s left on 145, he hits T20, T15, and he just misses Tops to leave 20, which he converts with his next throw to take it in 21 darts. The 4th legs best of all, Ted hits 2 x 100 and 95, with Doug smacking in 135, 81, 60 and 100, soon to be left on 92 and Deadly Doug takes it out to level in 18 darts. The decider sees only one red score, hit by Doug who’s soon down to a double, but Ted’s with him after scoring well, Doug fails to take out 16, allowing Ted a shot at Tops, but he leaves 20 and Doug makes no mistake hitting double 4 for the win.

Paul Clift beat Neil Timmis 3-0 to give his side an unassailable lead; he hit 125, 100 and 112 as he won the 1st leg in 19 darts. The second legs a little closer, with Neil scoring 121 and 100, and Paul 123 and 100, Paul takes out Tops to take leg in 22 darts, with Neil left on 70. Paul hits 2 x 100 in the 3rd leg, with Neil hitting a run of 80’s; Neil’s sitting on 36 as Paul completes the win in 23 darts.

Richard Platt beat Alf Baker 3-1 in the 4th game of the night. He open with 140 as he won the 1st leg in 26 darts, with Alf waiting on 33. Tricky opens with another 140 in the 2nd leg, and he also hits 100, but Alfas game and he smacks in 116, 95 and 98 and he deservedly levels in 20 darts, taking out double Tops. A couple of red scores and 96 puts Tricky in charge of the 3rd leg, which he takes in 23 darts, after wasting 6 darts at his double. He then hits 140 and 168 in the 4th leg and is down to a double after 15 darts, with Alf hitting 100 and a couple of 80’s, Tricky takes another 11 darts to finish for the win.

The final game was a cracker, especially if your names Chris Stanley, since he joined the Harrisons last season it would hard to dispute that he has become not only the most improved player in the league but one of the best, remember he already holds the least darts this season? Anyway to the game, he took on the home favourite Spencer Trow, it looks good for Spence as he opens with 100 and 140, but Chris slams in, 140, 95, 100, 60 and 106 in 3 for a 15 darter. The 2nd leg sees Chris go out in 18 darts, hitting 140, 125 and again another century finish, 105 in 3; his only blemish was he opened with 26? The 3rd leg and he hits, 100, 123, 140, 26 (again) 48 and 64 in 2, game over in 17 darts, total darts used 50, and Spence runs to the bar for shelter.

Morrisman 1 King Street 4
Neil Clarke put the visitors ahead with a 3-0 win over Malc Edwards, Neil hit 125 and 140 as he won the 1st leg in 22 darts, with Malc replying with 3 x 80+ scores. The 2nd leg and Malc hits a run of 60’s and 123, but Clarkie’s rattled in 2 x 100 and 125 to take the leg in 25 darts, another Ton pits him in control of the 3rd leg and he completes the win in 25 darts.

Next up was the star man for the home side, the unbeaten Mark Keegan, against Ben Lycet, Mark started in style hitting 68, 85, 60 2 x 100 and neatly taking out 88 in 2 for a great 17 darter. Mark then opened with a Maximum in the 2nd leg, soon followed by 100, Ben replies with 133, 99 and 85 to leave Tops after 18 darts, But Mark’s clinical and takes out 40 in 3 for an 18 dart leg. The 3rd legg also belongs to Mark, this despite Ben hitting 140 and 95, Mark opens with consecutive 60’s followed by 3 x 100 and a cracking 81 in 3 finish for a 3-0 win to retain his unbeaten record.

Ian Fenn made it 2-1 to the visitors, with a fine 3-1 victory over Mark Booth, Ian hit 3 x 100 and checked out on 92 in 3 for an 18 dart opening leg, with Mark hitting 3 x 80+ scores. The 2nd legs close with Ian banging in 100 every other throw and is soon down to 22, Marks up with the pace, smashing 2 x 100 and a couple of 80+ scores and with Ian sitting on 22, Mark takes out 10 in 2 for a 22 darter. The 3rd legs a little slower, with Ian just having the edge after hitting 140, going 2-1 up in 29 darts, Mark looks like levelling in the 4th leg after hitting 88, 81, 99 and 100, Ian starts slow, and hits consecutive 100’s with his 4th and 5th throw, Mark stutters on 10 with 6 darts, and Ian steals it in 25 darts.

Bob Price beat Pete Warburton 3-0 to give King Street the points, Pete hit 140 in the 1st leg, with Bob hitting 100, with Bob taking it in 32 darts after poor finishing by both players. Both hit red in the 2nd leg, with Bob taking it in 25 darts, Bob found the range in the 3rd leg, hitting 121, 95, 98 and checking out on 91 in 3 for an 18 darter.
Pete; 140 and 102, average, 13.29.
Bob; 3 x 100+ scores, average, 20.04.
Dave Stringer completed the win with a good 3-0 win over Shaun Watkin, who opened with a Ton with his 1st 3 darts, however, Dave hit 2 x 100 on his way to taking the leg in 20 darts. Dave hit 140 in the 2nd leg as he went 2 up in 27 darts, and he completed the win in the 3rd leg, hitting 140, 121 and 100 and taking out double top for a 20 dart leg.
